Abstract Title: Heart and Honor: Revisiting Ethics for Compassionate Nursing Practice

Biography: As a Faith Community Nurse (FCN) and Emory’s , Kathryn works with patients and serves on the Ethics Committee. as Emory’s Ethics Nurse Liaison. She has presented ethical topics not only for Nurse Leadership and students and residents, but at conferences on the state, national, and international level. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association (ANA), where she has served last year as a partner in the revision of the ANA Code of Ethics. Kathryn is the 2025 New Knowledge, Innovation, and Improvements Award winner for Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
